Butter London Wallis Swatch

Hi, Everyone!

Guess who got her first Butter London polishes? ME!!! I have never been so excited waiting for a package. During one of Ulta's promotions this past month, they had a BOGO on Butter London polishes. I was always very hesitant to spend $14 on a bottle of nail polish. So this deal was the perfect opportunity to finally see what all the fuss was about. It took me forever to pick my polishes. I ended up buying four ^_^. Today I bring you, Wallis.

This polish can best be described as instant love in a bottle! Wallis is an amazing deep golden olive with a shimmer finish. I got perfect opacity with just two coats. The formula was also amazing. I thought it would be on the thick side but it had the right hint of thinness to make application a breeze!
Soooo, needless to say Butter London is getting added to my wishlist! Any suggestions?

Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover Review

Hello!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I know I am :). As I told you all in my last post, my first ever Zoya purchase came with a free Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover.

This was seriously the cutest little bottle of nail polish remover ever. I will admit it now. Normally, I can care less about the nail polish remover I buy. It just has to work. By that I mean take off every little speck of nail polish on my nail plate. I also use it to clear my nail plate of oils before a manicure.

I have to say this nail polish remover is making me rethink that. There is a real difference between this remover and your typical drugstore brand. After using it my nails did not feel stripped of moisture...at all. It felt like moisture was actually being replenished! I was also able to get all my old polish off with a clean swipe, no streaking or mess. Other thing I liked about it...the Smell! There was no ridiculously strong odor!

So if you don't mind spending a little extra on your nail polish remover, I would go with
Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover.

Zoya New York Fashion Week Trio

Hi All!
Today I have swatches for one of the Zoya 2012 New York Fashion Week trio sampler packs! There is actually a story behind this purchase. I was randomly watching Good Morning America on ABC when this segment called "Deals and Steals" came on. I wasn't really paying much attention until I heard "Zoya trio sampler for 50% off. Free Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover with purchase Limited time offer". I was on my computer within seconds!!! There were 3 different trio samplers to choose from, including "Diva", "Designer" and "Gloss." I chose "Designer" which came with the colors Natty, Evvie, and Noot. Little known fact...this was my first time trying Zoya...I was not disappointed.

Here's the little package they came in. I couldn't wait to try them on!!!

Natty is deep blue with a creme finish. This color actually looks darker in person. I loved the formula, not too watery, not too thick. Here I have 2 coats.

Evvie is a hard color to describe lol. I would say that its a mix of grey, teal, and a hint of green. This one also had a creme finish. Another 2 coater.

Noot had to be my favorite one in the pack! This color, when you put the nail polish bottles side to side, looks like Evvie with a lot more dark grey and the slightest tinge of green. Again a creme finish and 2 coats.

I think Zoya hit it out of the park! I reached perfect opacity with just 2 coats for each of these polishes. I loved the consistency of the formula in each bottle. All of these colors are perfect for fall. I will definitely be buying more Zoya in the future.

Enough about my experience! How are you guys liking the Zoya NYFW Collection? Comment and let me know! 'Til next time, peace!!! (^ _ ^) V

Have We Been Duped? OPI Unfor-Greta-bly Blue vs. Essie Aruba Blue

Hello!!!

Hope everyone is having a nice Tuesday morning! It's raining like crazy where I live AND I have to go out in it. Can't say I'm too happy about that lol. Well, anyways if anyone out there is like me, you absolutely do not want dupes in your nail polish stash. So I wanted to do a comparison of Essie Aruba Blue and OPI's Unfor-Greta-bly Blue.
I have to say, I was really hesitant about buying Unfor-Greta-bly Blue because I thought it would be a complete dupe. But I find that Unfor-Greta-bly Blue when compared to Aruba Blue has a slight hint of teal to it that's made even more apparent when the two colors are placed side by side. So no need to worry we haven't been duped :). I think its ok to have both colors in your collection.

Do you all know of any dupes for either one of these colors? Comment and let me know! 'til next time ;)

OPI Germany Collection

'Ello Loves!!!

I have not posted in the longest amount of time. So sorry for that. Sometimes life gets in the way...and by life I do mean grad school haha. Well I'm back! And hopefully I will be able to get a little more consistent with these swatches. Today I have a swatches from the OPI Germany Collection that came out. From the press release I knew I would like this collection but on the nail, the colors are even more amazing than I could have imagined. At this point I seriously cannot pick a favorite.

Sunlight
German-icure by OPI. This is one amazing burgundy with a beautiful shimmer finish! This color is PERFECT for fall. Here I have two coasts and a top coat.

Sunlight

Unfor-Greta-bly Blue. Here I have 2 coats. I would say the best way to describe this polish is as a deep blue. In the sun it looks just as bright as it is in this picture. It has a metallic finish, with a bit of shimmer and the slightest, and I do mean slightest, hint of teal. I really didn't notice the teal until I compared this polish to Essie's Aruba Blue.

Sunlight
Every Month is Oktoberfest. This is one complex dark purple! It looks really similar to German-icure until you hold the bottles up next to each other. It's the red shimmer in the bottle that gives the similarity. Again, easy application with two coats giving perfect opacity.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Now comment! What is your favorite color from the OPI Germany Collection?

Until Next Post!
