Greige: The perfect blend of gray and taupe, this dynamic color grounds the Fall & Winter
palette.
Prussian: A deep green-blue teal and a perfect transition as we enter the darker and longer

Midori: A muted neon green that bridges our summer hues into the cooling Fall season and
provides us with a positive attitude.

OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips Swatch

Hi Everyone!

TGIF!!! Except this week was not as crazy for me as it usually was...the quiet before a storm I assume? It is almost the end of the Fall semester. The closer we get to the end the more hectic everything gets. Well, I'll just enjoy this moment of bliss while I have it. October is also almost over! It seriously just flew by! In keeping with my desire to show support and wear pink all month long for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I have one more swatch. Please enjoy Kiss Me on My Tulips from the OPI Holland Collection!

If you've already seen my previous blog post swatch for OPI's Red Lights Ahead...Where? then you already know that OPI minis are cute and small. Kiss Me on My Tulips was one of the polishes in the OPI Dutch Treats Mini Set

Kiss Me on My Tulips is a hot pink creme with a blue base. You can be subtly flashy with this one since, surprisingly, it doesn't look neon. I liked the formula, not too thick at all. It was almost a one coater. Many people complain about the difficulty of applying polish from the OPI minis because some find the small brush hard to work with. I didn't run into any problems. I guess I may have to thank my small hands.

That's it for my Breast Cancer Awareness Month series! I hope you all wore your pink and supported the cause, be it through donations, participating in marathons, you name it!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

WATCH OPI's First International Short Film: Instinct of Color

OPI Announces Brand’s First International Short Film

OPI pays hommage to its Culture of Color with the international launch of its first branded film. Set to the French DJ band C2C’s “Down the Road,” the video features a surrealistic dance-off between four female dancers and a gorgeous Thoroughbred, as trained by equestrian stuntmaster Mario Luraschi.

Named after OPI’s classic black nail lacquer, Lady in Black (known as Black Onyx in North America) brought to the film a repetoire of moves including tap steps and dancing en pointe, while showcasing bestselling OPI colors on her hooves.
The film’s four featured lacquers – Pink-ing of YouRed My Fortune CookieNeed Sunglasses? and No Room for the Blues – each represent one style of dance and one overarching theme, illustrating OPI nail lacquer as a means of self-expression.
“I always say that nail lacquer can change your look – and your outlook,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director. “Today, nail color can convey feelings and emotions, expressing on the outside what the wearer is feeling on the inside. In this short film, four women communicate through dance and color. With a trained Thoroughbred who could replicate the dancers’ moves with very little digital enhancement,  we were able to capture the unique, energetic and creative culture that epitomizes the OPI brand.”
The video launches worldwide on October 24, 2012. Please visit OPI on YouTube to view!

We all know I am an OPI ADDICT! I actually credit OPI with making me the nail polish addict that I am today ^_^. The horse stole the show! It was both beautiful and stunning
So let me know! How do you all feel about the video?
Until Next Post!

OPI Your Web or Mine? Swatch

Hi, All!!!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! It is finally getting a little cooler in Florida. OK...it's still warm enough that you can wear shorts but I'm still so excited about it! Maybe soon I'll be able to whip out my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. This late into October I'm tired of wearing sandals. I want a reason to wear my boots! Speaking of October, I've still been wearing pink on my nails in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So today I have Your Web or Mine? from the OPI Amazing Spider-man Collection! I will also be reviewing Essie's Matte About You Matte Finisher!

Your Web or Mine? is a frosty pink with the lightest hint of coral. My impressions of this polish...meh. It's really nothing special. The formula...also meh. It tended to lean a bit on the thick side but it wasn't impossible to work with. Here I have 2 coats.

I decided to go ahead and try my Essie Matte About You Matte Finisher on this polish. I know, I know,  I should have probably tried it on a lacquer with a metallic finish but I REALLY wanted to try it out.

I loved this stuff! I can't wait to use it on one of the OPI Germany Collection polishes! Here is Your Web or Mine? with a matte finish! I have to say, I liked it better this way.

OPI Pompeii Purple Swatch

Hi Loves!

I hope everyone's been having a great weekend! I finished up a major project with my classmates and, as a reward, I decided to give myself a manicure. As many of you may know, the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I went to Ulta to pick up some pink polish to wear in support. I have to say, I wasn't really impressed with the colors offered by Essie, OPI, etc., to support the cause this year, but I was determined to get some pink! Ulta basically brought out all the pink OPI they must have been storing in their back room. I must have spent an hour trying to 2! I ended up getting Pompeii Purple!

Don't be fooled by the name! Pompeii Purple is a hot, mostly-pink magenta with an iridescent-blue finish (say that two times fast!). This is evidenced by the hints of purple that come out in some lights. I absolutely love this color! This was almost a one-coater for me. I reached perfect opacity with 2 coats and added top coat to seal it all in.

Hope you enjoyed the post! If so, SUBSCRIBE!!! Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating and wearing your pink!

Until Next Post!

Butter London Knackered Swatch

Hi Everyone!

After a really relaxed weekend with my family which included LOTS of great food and watching movies like the Avengers, this week is already shaping up to be pretty hectic. Assignments due, galore! Somehow, I still found time to change my nail color for the week. Here is yet another Butter London swatch! Yup, this is another one I got as part of the BOGO from Ulta. Absolutely love that store. Please enjoy, Knackered from their 2012 Spring/Summer Collection!

Knackered is...both hard to describe and hard to capture! It is such an amazing color. I would describe it best as a blue leaning on purple/green duochrome. It also has some holographic flecks in it. It is very sheer. I needed 4 coats to get to this opacity. The camera flash definitely revealed my smile line. I'm sure Knackered would be great to layer with another polish.

The formula was great! It was a bit on the thin side but still very easy to apply. Butter London is keeping me happy!

Soooo...let me know! What do you all think about Knackered?

Butter London Trustafarian Swatch

Hi, Loves!!!

Nowadays my answers to the question "what are you doing" or "any plans for the weekend" tend to be "researching, reading, and writing." The life of a graduate student ::sigh::. So I'm really happy whenever I can say "working on a blog post" ^_^! Today, I'm back with yet another Butter London swatch and review from their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection! Here is, Trustafarian!

Trustafarian is a sage-green holographic polish. The formula was thin and very easy to apply. The color was also very sheer so I needed 3 coats to reach this opacity. However, I love this color! There is nothing like it in my collection. This would probably look great to layer with another polish....Can't wait to try that!

This color is a hit! I'm really loving Butter London. What Butter London polishes are you wearing this fall?
See You Next Post!
